First Lemonade Drinks
At 11:30, I made 2 lemonade drinks (needed just one lemon for the 4 tablespoons of juice). Not bad at all! Very spicy, though! For 2 drinks I needed 2/10ths of a teaspoon of cayenne, which would be 15..I used just under 1/4. I have to keep shaking it, because the cayenne settles. I can't imagine how people add more than the minimum cayenne - it's HOT! I'm going to go to the gym now and see how that goes...going to be a light workout because I am SO sore and can't eat any food. I then have to go to the grocery store and CVS. We're getting a snow storm tonight and I have no salt for melting it. Danny is working and I will DEFINITELY need it tomorrow morning, especially if I have to go to work. I am going to have to get up SUPER early!
Master Cleanse
Today I am on Day 1 of the Master Cleanse. I want to flush my body of toxins. I ate terribly over the holidays through now, and I was drinking more coffee and wine that I like to. I am very excited about this! I don't know if I can do a full 10 days, so my goal is to make it through Saturday - 7 days. This morning I woke up a little after 9 and had to go to the bathroom several times from the senna tea last night. At 9:40 I had my first salt water flush. I was nervous about it, as it requires drinking a quart of water with two level teaspoons of non-iodonized sea salt. It has the same salinity as a salty soup and I drank it all at once (after repeatedly stirring) through a straw. I am not hungry AT ALL - I am so full! I also had my last hurrah last night and ate my face off, so that may be part of the lack of hunger, too. At 10:20 I had to go to the bathroom. No cramps, just small solid bits. I think I will be able to do the flush while I am working this week - I just have to make sure that I get up super early (no later than 5:15). At 10:45 or so I am going to make my first lemonade drink. I have to go to the supermarket to get more lemons and spring water (forgot to get those yesterday!).
I am not quitting smoking (yet), but I think I will be ok without the coffee (and wine) - no cravings! I feel good, except for the pain all over from a very vigorous weight training session (after not training for a LONG time). I think it was a good idea, though, as I believe it released more toxins to be flushed!
